Fabricator Welder

Job Description:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Capable of manufacturing complex fabrications to a high standard.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding to a very high standard.
  • Experience working with Mild steel and Stainless steel.
  • Ability to dress and polish stainless steel.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installation.
  • Ability to set up and use fabrication machines such as press brakes, rollers and band saws.
  • Be prepared to get involved with other tasks if required.

Skills & Experience:

  • The ability to work to short deadlines.
  • Positive and enthusiastic.
  • Self motivated.
  • Be English speaking and able to integrate into a small team, as well as working under own initiative.

Job Description:

  • Creating and developing 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Processing engineering design requests and updating manufacturing drawings  accordingly.
  • Providing support for the Manufacturing department, in order to resolve issues during production.
  • Maintaining Records and Developing an organised drawing office structure working towards ISO9001 Accreditation.
  • Be prepared to get involved with ‘hands-on’ tasks if required.
  • Flexible attitude to overtime.

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to HND/degree level and/or have equivalent workplace experience.
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Good numeracy and computer skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work to short deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of the applications of various materials including mild steel, stainless steel and plastics.
